У статті розглянуто особливості перекладу романів Дж. Роулінг про Гаррі Поттера українською мовою. Проаналізовано фонетичні і лексичні особливості заклинань як оказіоналізмів. Простежено зв’язок між фонетичною формою і значенням заклинань. Представлено класифікацію магічних формул у романах Дж. Роулінг. Схарактеризовано всі перекладацькі трансформації, використані в українських перекладах. Проаналізовано перекладацькі стратегії магічних формул-заклинань в українських перекладах.
